Part of our massive round-up of swimming goggles is the review of Arena Cobra Tri Mirror goggles. Clare has been putting them through their paces and shares her views.

Summary of the Arena Cobra Tri Mirror Goggles Review

Trivelo score – 5 / 5

I have completed varying distances of triathlons and open water swims, and tried various brands of swimming goggles. Zoggs Predator Flex, Huub, DHB, Form, Magic 5, Speedo and spent a fair amount of money.  All of these goggles have inevitably leaked and fogged.   The Arena Cobra Tri Swipe Mirror are a fantastic pair of goggles for open water swimming/triathlon. They are such a comfortable fit and there is no need to push them on tight to get a good seal and prevent leakage.  The tinted lenses means they are ideal for swimming in sunny conditions and enable you to still be able to sight.  The lenses have stayed clear on multiple swims, and they have a function which reactivates the anti-fog feature.

First impressions of the goggles

The Arena Cobra Tri goggles look good. From the very first play wth them I found that they fit really well and super comfortable. Certainly a premium feel to them that matches with Arena who are an established manufacturer in the swimming space.

Fit in the water

Putting on the goggles in the water they are comfortable. Over any distance that I tried to use them on they were comfortable and I was able to find the right fit quickly. Lots of adjustments to fit my head shape.

Seal of the goggles

The goggles created a perfect seal with no leaks. I didn’t suffer once with having to stop a swim and empty out the water that had ingressed in through the seals. The seal is also rapid to adopt and you don’t need to overtly push them into the eye socket. Much apppreciated when you exit the pool and don’t have hideous swimming panda eyes.

Anti-Fog durability

I have worn these for over 10 hours and not had any issues with the goggles fogging.  Durability will be seen as I wear them for a longer duration.

Quality of the materials

Quite simply these are a great quality product. Materials and performance of the Arean goggles since first use has been spot on. No issues.

Extras

The goggles come with additional nose bridges of varying sizes to help get the perfect fit.  Unfortunately they don’t come with a case which I think is a shame. Protecting goggles is always a battle and on a premium set of swimming goggles like these I would expect a case ideally.

Unboxing Arena goggles

Would you buy these goggles?

In short – I would definitely buy these goggles and highly recommend them for triathlons/open water swimming.

They are the BEST goggles I have found to date.
